Advanced Medsearch AI Platform
An intelligent PubMed AI search tool designed to synthesize biomedical literature, track clinical evidence, and eliminate hallucinations in real time.
How does Bio-Med-Search work?
Bio-Med-Search searches the live PubMed database to find the most relevant biomedical studies for your query. It then identifies key findings from these trusted sources and summarizes the evidence into a concise, scientifically grounded answer. Because searches are performed in real time, results include the latest published research.
Who is Bio-Med-Search for?
Bio-Med-Search is built for clinicians, researchers, students, and healthcare professionals who need accurate, evidence-based answers grounded in published biomedical studies. It is ideal for users who want to quickly understand what the scientific literature says—without relying on general AI tools or manually reviewing multiple PubMed articles.
Is Bio-Med-Search a chat-based AI like ChatGPT?
No. Bio-Med-Search is a literature search and synthesis tool, not a conversational AI. Each query—including follow-up searches—generates a new PubMed literature search based on your question and prior context. The response is then created from the studies retrieved in that search.
How is Bio-Med-Search different from other AI tools?
Unlike many AI tools that generate responses from general language patterns or the open internet, Bio-Med-Search retrieves evidence directly from PubMed-indexed biomedical studies. This ensures answers are based on peer-reviewed scientific literature rather than general web content or outdated model training data.
Does Bio-Med-Search hallucinate?
No. Unlike general-purpose AI, Bio-Med-Search utilizes a "Zero-Hallucination" framework. Every claim in the response is directly linked to a PubMed-indexed study via superscript citations. If the literature does not contain an answer, the system will inform you rather than inventing information.
What does it mean when I get an error during a search?
If you see an error message, such as "Unable to reach PubMed, please try again later," it usually indicates a temporary issue—either with the National Library of Medicine (NLM) databases or the tool's AI model provider. In most cases, these issues are short-lived, and simply retrying the search after a few minutes will resolve them.
How do I start a Research Topic?
Each new search starts a research topic, which you can continue exploring with follow-up questions, or start a new one by clicking New Research.
Are there search limits?
Free users can perform up to 10 searches every 24 hours. The limit resets daily. For unlimited searches and uninterrupted research, you can upgrade to the Pro plan at any time.
Is my research saved?
For Pro users, every search and follow-up is automatically saved in Account → history Research History, so you can continue your research across devices. For Free users, research sessions are temporary and will be cleared once the browser session ends.
How do I filter my search?
Pro users can access Advanced Search Filters by clicking the Filters tune icon in the search bar. This allows you to restrict results to specific publication years or focus exclusively on high-level evidence, such as Randomized Controlled Trials, Systematic Reviews, and Meta-Analyses.
What is the Summary Table?
Pro users can click 'Summary Table' table_view in the response toolbar to view a comparative analysis of all studies included in that answer. The table organizes key information—such as study design, population, interventions, outcomes, and main findings—making it easier to synthesize findings across multiple studies.
Are the searches reproducible on PubMed?
Yes. Each response displays the total results found in PubMed. Pro users can click PubMed Results quick_reference_all in the response toolbar to open a new tab with the search query automatically populated in PubMed, allowing you to independently verify the results or continue further exploration using the NLM's native tools.
Responses are provided for informational and research purposes only and do not constitute medical advice. Content is based on published scientific literature and selected from a limited set of the most relevant search results, which may not capture all clinical considerations.
Information may be incomplete due to system or resource limitations. Users should independently verify details and consult qualified healthcare or research professionals as appropriate.
